Abstract
Introduction. Advanced technologies can be more effective when taking into account psychophysiological aspects of labour. In metallurgical production, an important factor is optimizing working conditions for specialized operators, requiring the study of psychophysiological factors of operators' work and its ergonomic support.
Aim. To identify psychophysiological features of operators' work in rolling production in Ukraine and China in order to reduce their psychophysiological stress and improve professional selection and training.
Materials and methods. The study was conducted across several metallurgical plants during the period 2020–2024. Metallurgical production management systems were evaluated using expert analysis of technical documentation. To obtain information about the studied hot rolling mill operators, the following methods were used: ergonomic mapping using Google Forms, the verbal-communicative diagnostic method to assess the dynamics of the operators' psychophysiological state, and traditional physiological, psychological, and psychophysiological methods. Subjective assessments of the operators' work were obtained by questionnaire. Subjective assessments of the operators' work were obtained by questionnaire.
Results. It was found that the accompanying signs of the psychological and physiological reactions of the subjects were increased reactive anxiety, decreased functional reserves of the cardiorespiratory system, and deterioration of mental and physical performance. The obtained results formed the basis for the proposed organizational and health-improving measures. In particular, for the professional selection and placement of operators, it is advisable to take into account not only the technological parameters of the workplace, but also the dynamic psychophysiological characteristics of the operator's personality.
Conclusions. The results obtained proved that complex methods of professional selection and professional training can be used to assess the functional state of operators and contribute to reducing additional costs for their retraining. The expected effects of implementing such a system are an increase in professional longevity, a decrease in injuries and occupational morbidity of metallurgists, as well as an increase in the efficiency and quality of operator activity, productivity and reliability of performing production tasks.
